IgnatiusWed, Jan 17th, 6pm. Development and Peace presents: Living Laudato Si’ 2.0 – On Care for our Common Home.

After a successful first session on learning about Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si‘, we continue with a second gathering to discuss the document at a deeper level. With the support of Fr. Robert Allore at St. Mark’s Parish, participants will have a chance to delve into the theological aspect of the encyclical and discover our responsibility as Christians to the environment.

The session will start with an overview of the Gospel of Creation and a reflection by Fr. Rob, followed by a group discussion on how this pertains to our impact on the environment today. Following the event, those interested will be encouraged to lead their own group study of Laudato Si in their parish or school.

“I urgently appeal, then, for a new dialogue about how we are shaping the future of our planet. We need a conversation which includes everyone, since the environmental challenge we are undergoing, and its human roots, concern and affect us all.” – Pope Francis
